According to our latest Point In Time Survey completed every January, there were 56 homeless people recorded in Putnam County. There were 19 living on the streets and 37 were living in shelters. There were also 70 homeless people in jail and 532 homeless children enrolled in school.

According to United Way of Florida’s ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, but Employed) Report, last conducted in 2015, Putnam County had 72,023 people and 28,165 households. The median household income was $31,483, while the state’s average was $49,426. There were 14,729 households living below the ALICE threshold, which is $11,770 for a single adult, and $24,250 for two adults, one infant and one preschooler.
