Data and HMIS

(New data dashboards going live in 2025)

WHAT IS HMIS?

The Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) is a secure, data-driven platform used by homeless service providers to coordinate care and track services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), HMIS allows our Continuum of Care to collect standardized information about the people they serve.

Through HMIS, providers can:

  • Understand local homelessness trends

  • Improve service delivery and coordination

  • Measure outcomes and program performance

  • Support funding and policy decisions based on real-time data

HMIS Vendor Evaluation Notice 5/13/2025

The Continuum of Care (CoC) is currently evaluating proposals submitted by two HUD-compliant HMIS vendors.

After a thorough review process, CoC staff are recommending a transition to Clarity HMIS by BitFocus as the new HMIS platform.

This recommendation will be presented for a vote at the CoC Leadership Council meeting in June 2025.

Community members and stakeholders are welcome to attend and stay informed as we work to strengthen our data systems in support of more effective services and outcomes.
